LWA28PW-C3 5MP PoE IP Dome Camera, 2.8mm Lens, 30m Light, 256GB microSD, IP67, IK10

The LWA28PW-C3 is a 5MP network dome camera for an IP system that needs one more view with some intelligence behind it. It records at 2592 × 1944 through a fixed 2.8mm lens, which gives a wide angle suited to a porch, a shop floor, a hallway or the corner of a yard.

Analytics are built in. The camera can pick out faces, people and vehicles, read licence plates, flag perimeter intrusion and build a heat map of where activity happens. That lets your recorder or app raise an alert for a person crossing a line rather than for every passing shadow.

After dark, infrared reaches 30m and the sensor works down to 0.003 lux. Smart H.265 and H.264 compression with three video streams keeps the load on your network and recorder low, so a few of these will not swamp an existing kit.

Cabling is a single Ethernet run, because power arrives over PoE. A micro SD slot takes a card of up to 256GB, so the camera can keep recording by itself if the link to the recorder drops. The metal body is rated IP67 and IK10, which covers rain and hard knocks, and it works from -35°C to +60°C.

It speaks ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M, so it can be added to a recorder that supports ONVIF. Check that your recorder supports 5MP and has a free channel before you order.
