Reviews come from buyers
Whoever bought the product from CCTV Kit Direct is welcome to review it. After you buy, we email you a private link for your review; or, once your order is on its way, head to the order in your account to leave one. Either way, each review is a verified purchase.
We send every buyer the same request, in the same words, and who we ask, or when, never depends on how pleased we think someone is.
Good reviews and bad ones both go up
A one-star review goes up just like a five-star one. Its rating never gets a review hidden, delayed or altered, and neither does being critical of us or a product.
A person reads a review before it goes up only when it contains a web link, or someone’s email address or phone number, when it uses abusive language, or when it is too short to be helpful. We aim to decide on any review we have held within 7 days. We only ever take a review down, or turn one away, for spam, abuse, personal details, or writing unrelated to the product, and never because it is negative.
Is there anything in it for you?
No. Writing a review earns no discount, no account credit and no chance in a prize draw.
Reviews you write elsewhere (Google, Trustpilot or any other place online) do not earn anything either.
When we answer a review
We may answer a review in public. Our answer will never offer you anything to change or delete what you wrote.
Reviews and complaints are different
Think of it this way: a review tells other shoppers how a product worked for you, while a complaint asks us to fix something. It is fine to do either or both. A request to put something right never stops you reviewing as well, and a review is never a replacement for using our returns or complaints process.

Reviews on other websites
Now and again we might ask for your rating on Google or Trustpilot too. Reviews written elsewhere, on other websites or marketplaces, never appear on our product pages.
