A network recorder (NVR)
A network (IP) camera.
Check your recorder takes 8 MP cameras.
Not sure which recorder you have? A DVR has a row of round twist-on (BNC) camera sockets on the back; an NVR has none.

This Hikvision 8MP dual-lens turret camera, the DS-2CD1383G2P-LIUF/SL, is a wide angle CCTV camera: two fixed 2mm lenses are stitched into one picture with a 180° horizontal view. It suits a wide spot that would otherwise need two cameras, such as a patio, a yard or the full side of a building.
Recorder: it is an IP camera that connects to a network recorder or a PoE switch and needs one free PoE port (IEEE 802.3af). Check that your recorder accepts the stitched resolution of 4256 × 1888.
Coverage: each lens has its own 1/2.4" sensor, and the stitched picture is 4256 × 1888. Smart Hybrid Light uses infrared and white light up to 30m.
Mounting spot: Hikvision recommends mounting it above 3 metres, so the panoramic view covers as much ground as it can. A microphone, speaker and microSD slot (up to 512GB) are built in, and the IP67 housing is made for outdoors.
