Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
The iDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT recorder with a 4TB drive fitted, 8 cameras, 8 x 20m shotgun leads, a 12V 5A power supply with a built-in 8-way splitter and a 1.5m HDMI cable.
Yes. A 4TB drive comes pre-installed.
Eight more on the free coax channels, and the recorder also has up to 24 network camera inputs.
Yes. The kit includes an HDMI cable but not a screen.
This is a complete Hikvision coax CCTV kit: iDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT, a 16-channel AcuSense DVR with one HDD bay, with 8 5MP ColorVu audio turret cameras and a 4TB hard drive already fitted. The recorder has 16 channels and the kit fills 8, which suits a larger house or a shop that may want more cameras later.
It records up to 3K/5MP Lite at 12 frames a second with H.265 Pro+ compression, takes HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP inputs, and has up to 24 network camera inputs, each up to 6MP. These are 5MP ColorVu turrets (up to 2560 × 1944) with a fixed 2.8mm lens. A white supplemental light gives full colour images at night, up to 25 metres, and each camera has a built-in microphone sending audio over the coax cable. They are IP67 rated.
In the box: the recorder with the 4TB drive installed, 8 x 20m RG59 shotgun leads with BNC video and DC power ends, a 12V 5A power supply with a built-in 8-way splitter and a 1.5m High Speed HDMI cable for your monitor. You provide a screen, and a network connection if you want to watch remotely.
Mount the eight cameras, run each lead to the recorder and plug the BNC ends into channels 1 to 8; the power ends go to the 8-way splitter supply. Eight coax channels stay free, so extra cameras only need cameras and leads. Connect your monitor with the HDMI cable.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.
9camerasRight for a big property or a yard
In the box
The 8 cameras in the box use 8 of the 16 channels on the recorder. So there are 8 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Around 23 days of footage
There is 4TB of storage in the box.
Pick a different hard drive
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 23 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
