4of 4 channels in use
The 4 cameras in the box use 4 of the 4 channels on the recorder. There is a camera on every channel already. For a bigger system, the next step is a recorder with more channels.

Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
Up to 60 metres with EXIR 2.0 infrared.
The cameras are 8MP and record up to 3840 × 2160, or 4K.
This is the long-range 4K kit. The DS-2CE78U1T-IT3F uses EXIR 2.0 infrared, which spreads the light evenly across the scene and reaches up to 60 metres. That is the figure to look at if you are covering a car park, a yard or a long boundary.
The camera is an 8MP 4K HD-TVI turret with a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160 and a fixed 2.8mm lens. The IP67 rated enclosure makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and the turret housing mounts on a wall or ceiling.
In the box: the iDS-7204HUHI-M1/XT 4-channel recorder, which is an AcuSense 4K recorder with H.265 Pro+ compression that takes one SATA drive of up to 12TB; 4 Hikvision DS-2CE78U1T-IT3F cameras; 4 RG59 BNC video leads of 20m, each with a DC power tail; a 12V 3A power supply with a four-way splitter; a 1.5m HDMI cable and a 1TB hard drive, already fitted. You provide a monitor with an HDMI input and a place to mount each camera.
The four cameras share one recorder, so plan the cable runs first: each camera has its own 20m lead in the box, and longer runs need extra coax. For more cameras on the same 4K recorder family, the larger sets are in the 16 camera kits.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.

Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 5 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.

First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
