The 4 cameras in the box use 4 of the 4 channels on the recorder. There is a camera on every channel already. For a bigger system, the next step is a recorder with more channels.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
The cameras reach 3840 × 2160 and the recorder takes up to 8MP at 8 frames per second.
Ask us before ordering if you need sound. These cameras are sold for picture and light, so choose an audio kit if recording sound matters.
This four-camera set is for people who want 4K detail on coax. Dual light means the cameras can work in infrared at night yet use white light for colour when it is wanted, which helps when you need to read clothing or a vehicle colour.
These 8MP turrets (3840 × 2160) pair infrared with white light, so they record in infrared at night and can switch to colour when needed. The fixed lens is 2.8mm, wide enough for entrances, yards and warehouses.
In the box: the 4-channel iDS-7204HUHI-M1/XT recorder; 4 8MP 4K Smart Dual Light turret cameras; 4 RG59 BNC video leads of 20m, each with a DC power tail; a 12V 3A power supply with a 4-way splitter; a 1.5m HDMI cable and a 2TB hard drive, already fitted. You provide a monitor with an HDMI input and a place to mount each camera. The recorder takes HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP inputs and records up to 8MP at 8 frames per second, or 5MP at 12, with H.265 Pro+ compression.
Fitting is straightforward. Mount the 4 cameras, run each 20m lead back to the recorder, plug the power tails into the supplied power supply and connect a monitor over HDMI. Check the camera type on the recorder at first set-up, then set the recording schedule.
Four 4K cameras on a 4-channel 8MP recorder make a neat full set. More options are in the Turbo HD kits.
Other sizes

Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 11 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.

First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
