1of 4 channels in use
The camera in the box uses 1 of the 4 channels on the recorder. So there are 3 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
Yes, up to three more using the free PoE ports.
Yes, it has a built-in microphone.
A monitor, fixings, and a router connection if you want remote viewing.
1TB, fitted in the recorder.
A single-camera starter: one 5MP bullet camera with a microphone, a 4-channel PoE recorder and a 1TB drive already fitted. Put the camera on the spot that matters most first.
The camera is a Hikvision DS-2CD1053G0-IUF bullet, 5MP (2560 × 1920) with a fixed 2.8mm wide-angle lens. EXIR 2.0 infrared reaches up to 30 metres in darkness, a built-in microphone records sound, and the metal IP67 housing is made for outdoor use. H.265+ compression keeps storage use down. Each runs from PoE (802.3af), so one network cable carries power and video.
The DS-7604NXI-K1/4P recorder has four PoE ports, accepts IP cameras up to 12MP and uses AcuSense to tell people and vehicles from other movement. It has a 4K HDMI output, one SATA bay for drives up to 10TB and a LAN port for remote viewing through Hik-Connect.
In the box: the recorder with a 1TB hard drive installed, one bullet camera, one 20m Cat6 patch cable and a 1.5m HDMI lead. You need a monitor and fixings. Mount each camera, run its cable to a PoE port, plug in the monitor and set the recording schedule.
The recorder keeps three PoE ports free, so adding cameras later takes only a Cat6 lead each. Compare other sizes in the CCTV kits.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.

In the box
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 46 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Network (IP) system
One cable to each camera brings it power and picture.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
