2of 8 channels in use
The 2 cameras in the box use 2 of the 8 channels on the recorder. So there are 6 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Around 46 days of footage
There is 2TB of storage in the box.
Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
Yes. The recorder has 8 channels and two are used.
Yes, a 2TB hard drive is pre-installed.
Start small, grow later. This kit has just two DS-2CE78K0T-LPTS cameras, but they connect to an 8-channel recorder, so six inputs are free for more coax cameras whenever you want to extend the system.
Each camera is a 3K HD-TVI turret with a maximum resolution of 2960 × 1664. Smart Hybrid Light offers up to 20 metres of white light and up to 30 metres of infrared, and the microphone and speaker give two-way audio over the coax lead. The housing is IP67 rated.
In the box: the iDS-7208HQHI-M1/XT 8-channel recorder, which records up to 5MP Lite or 3K Lite at 12 frames per second, takes one SATA drive of up to 10TB and can also add up to 12 IP cameras; 2 Hikvision DS-2CE78K0T-LPTS cameras; 2 RG59 BNC video leads of 20m, each with a DC power tail; a 12V 3A power supply with a four-way splitter; a 1.5m HDMI cable and a 2TB hard drive, already fitted. You provide a monitor with an HDMI input and a place to mount each camera.
Two cameras on a 2TB drive keeps footage for a long time. When you add cameras you will need more coax leads and power, as the 12V 3A supply here has a four-way splitter. See the full list of kits if you already know you want eight.

Pick a different hard drive
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 46 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
