A network recorder (NVR)
A network (IP) camera.
Check your recorder takes 5 MP cameras.
Not sure which recorder you have? A DVR has a row of round twist-on (BNC) camera sockets on the back; an NVR has none.

This Hikvision DS-2CD3356G2-ISU is a 5MP PoE turret camera for adding one more view to a system you already run. The fixed 2.8mm lens covers 98° across, enough for a front door, a side passage or the front of a garage.
AcuSense sorts people and vehicles from other movement, which cuts down alerts caused by leaves and shadows. Infrared lights the scene up to 40m at night, and the built-in microphone records sound with the picture. A microSD slot takes cards up to 512GB for recording on the camera itself.
It takes power over Ethernet (802.3af) or 12V DC, and the metal housing is IP67 rated for outdoor use. Make sure a PoE port is free on your recorder or switch.
