Storing weeks of footage from many cameras needs a lot of room, and a server-grade drive is one way to add it. The Lenovo ThinkSystem 10TB drive, part number 00PH820 (also listed as 00PH819), is an enterprise 3.5-inch SATA drive for ThinkSystem servers and storage systems.
It uses a SATA 6Gb/s interface at 7200 RPM, and is designed for RAID configurations where stable performance matters. The product data names CCTV recording servers, file servers, backup storage and data archiving as suitable uses.
Check before you order: it is made for Lenovo ThinkSystem platforms, so make sure your server or array accepts a 3.5-inch SATA drive. A small kit recorder may not support this capacity, so read its manual first.
