1of 16 channels in use
The camera in the box uses 1 of the 16 channels on the recorder. So there are 15 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
The iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT recorder, the camera, 1 RG59 BNC video and power lead of 20m, a 12V 1A power supply, a 1.5m HDMI cable and the 6TB hard drive, already fitted.
You need a monitor or TV with an HDMI input to view the picture. The kit includes a 1.5m HDMI cable to connect it to the recorder.
The recorder has 16 channels and this kit uses 1, so 15 are free. Ask us which cameras and power you will need.
This Hikvision kit puts 1 8MP 4K ColorVu audio fixed turret camera in black on a 16-channel 4K iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT recorder, with a 6TB hard drive already installed. The cameras connect by coax: each has its own 20m RG59 BNC lead that carries the video and a DC power connector. It suits one position that matters most, such as the front door, with room to add cameras later.
In the box: the iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT recorder, a 1U H.265 AcuSense model; the camera; 1 RG59 BNC video and power lead of 20m; a 12V 1A power supply; a 1.5m HDMI cable; and the 6TB drive, ready to record. You bring a monitor or TV with an HDMI input and a way to fix each camera.
Before you order, remember this is a coax kit: video and power run over the supplied BNC leads, not network cable, so measure the route from each camera position to where the recorder will sit. Plan a mains socket and a shelf or cabinet for the recorder. The recorder has 16 channels and this kit uses 1, so 15 are free for later cameras; ask us what else you will need. Ask us before ordering if any run is longer than 20m.

Around 138 days of footage
There is 6TB of storage in the box.
Pick a different hard drive
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 138 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
