SeagateModel HDD-6TB-Seagate-SkyHawk-ST6000VX008
A kit's recorder can only keep as much footage as its drive allows, so a bigger drive means a longer record. The Seagate SkyHawk ST6000VX008 holds 6TB on a 3.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s drive made for CCTV recording, not for a desktop PC.
It has a 256MB cache, up to 180MB/s maximum sustained transfer rate and a rating for 24x7 operation (8,760 power-on hours a year) with a 180TB a year workload limit. It suits recording from up to 64 HD cameras, with a 1,000,000-hour MTBF and a 3-year limited warranty.
Fit it in a recorder that has a free 3.5-inch SATA bay, and check the recorder maker's capacity limit and supported drive list first.
