Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
Eight analogue channels stay free, since the recorder has 16 and the kit uses eight.
They have a built-in microphone and use audio over coax, so sound travels on the video cable.
The recorder has two bays and one is filled by the 4TB drive.
Yes, they have an IP67 housing.
Eight cameras today and room for eight more: that is the idea behind this kit. It pairs a 16-channel Hikvision iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT recorder with eight UKVISION 8MP 4K audio turrets, so the system can grow without replacing the recorder.
The recorder is a 1U AcuSense DVR with two drive bays. It encodes up to 4K/8MP at 8fps and 3K/5MP at 12fps, accepts HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP inputs, and can take up to 32 IP channels of up to 8MP each. A 4TB drive is already fitted, so the second bay is yours for extra storage.
The UKVISION cameras output 3840 x 2160 from a Sony sensor and use audio over coax: the built-in microphone sends sound down the same cable as the picture, which the recorder supports. Output can be set to TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS. Each has a mounting base and an IP67 weatherproof housing.
Eight 20m RG59 leads with BNC video and DC power, a 12V 5A supply with a built-in 8-way splitter and a 1.5m HDMI cable complete the box. Bring a monitor.
Later cameras need their own leads and, once the one splitter is full, more power.
A 4K picture needs space. With a 4TB drive and eight 8MP cameras recording, retention time depends on your motion settings and how busy the scenes are, so if you want weeks of footage, plan to add a larger drive in the second bay. Check the recorder's menu for audio on each channel and turn off any microphone you do not need.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.

In the box
The 8 cameras in the box use 8 of the 16 channels on the recorder. So there are 8 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Around 11 days of footage
There is 4TB of storage in the box.
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 11 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
