Sixteen 5MP ColorVu audio turret cameras, one for every channel on the recorder.
Yes. A 4TB drive is pre-installed in the recorder.
Two 12V 5A supplies, each with a built-in 8-way splitter.
No. It comes with a 1.5m HDMI cable, and you supply the screen.
A full 16-camera coax system in one box, for a site with many doors, yards or corridors to watch. The recorder is the Hikvision iDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT, a 16-channel 1U AcuSense DVR with one hard drive bay. It records up to 3K/5MP Lite at 12fps with H.265 Pro+ compression and takes HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP inputs.
All sixteen cameras are 5MP ColorVu audio fixed turrets. ColorVu aims for a colour picture after dark, and the audio models carry a microphone, so sound can travel down the same coax as the picture. Every camera has its own 20m RG59 lead with BNC video and a DC power plug on the end.
The box also holds a 4TB drive already fitted in the recorder, a 1.5m 4K HDMI cable and two 12V 5A power supplies, each with a built-in 8-way splitter, so eight cameras hang off each one. You provide a monitor, and a network connection if you want to view footage away from the building.
Because every channel is used, there is no spare input for a seventeenth camera on the coax side. The recorder can also accept network cameras, with inputs for up to 24 IP channels. AcuSense sorts people and vehicles from other movement, which keeps a busy site from filling the drive with false alerts.
Mount the cameras, pull each lead back to the recorder, number the BNC plugs one to sixteen and plug the power ends into the two splitters before you switch on.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.
12camerasRight for a big property or a yard
In the box
The 16 cameras in the box use 16 of the 16 channels on the recorder. There is a camera on every channel already. For a bigger system, the next step is a recorder with more channels.
Around 11 days of footage
There is 4TB of storage in the box.
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 11 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
