Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
Three. The recorder has 16 and the kit uses 13.
They are audio models, with sound carried over the coax cable.
A 6TB drive, already fitted in the recorder.
The Hikvision iDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT, a 16-channel AcuSense DVR.
Thirteen cameras on one recorder, with three channels held back for later. This Hikvision kit is for a site that is too big for the usual four or eight camera sets but does not need all sixteen channels yet.
The recorder is the 16-channel iDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT, a 1U AcuSense DVR with one SATA bay. It records up to 3K/5MP Lite at 12fps and supports H.265 Pro+, HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP inputs. The 6TB drive is fitted before the box leaves us.
Cameras are 5MP ColorVu audio fixed turrets: a colour-at-night picture, plus a microphone for sound over the coax. Thirteen 20m RG59 shotgun leads come in the box, along with a 1.5m HDMI cable and two 12V 5A supplies with built-in 8-way splitters.
Sixteen power outlets cover thirteen cameras, so a later camera can plug straight in. You supply the monitor.
A site this size tends to grow, so write down which camera sits on which channel and keep spare lengths of lead coiled rather than trimmed. The recorder's menu lets you name each channel, which makes playback far quicker when you are searching for an event. Set a password and the clock before the first recording, and check each camera's night picture after dark so you can adjust any angle that catches a street light.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.

In the box
The 13 cameras in the box use 13 of the 16 channels on the recorder. So there are 3 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Around 21 days of footage
There is 6TB of storage in the box.
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 21 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
