4of 4 channels in use
The 4 cameras in the box use 4 of the 4 channels on the recorder. There is a camera on every channel already. For a bigger system, the next step is a recorder with more channels.
Around 11 days of footage
There is 1TB of storage in the box.

Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
It senses body heat and can trigger recording on a compatible Hikvision recorder, which cuts down false alarms from shadows and light changes.
The camera is designed for indoor spaces such as rooms and corridors. For outdoor use choose a kit whose cameras are IP67 rated, such as the audio or 4K turret kits.
Each camera in this kit has a built-in PIR sensor. It detects the heat of a person rather than analysing the picture, so shadows, passing headlights and changing light are less likely to start a recording. That suits a hallway, a stairwell, a shop back room or any indoor space where nobody should be moving after hours.
The DS-2CE71H0T-PIRLO is a 5MP HD-TVI turret camera with a maximum resolution of 2560 × 1944 and a fixed 2.8mm lens, a wide view for a room or corridor. Infrared reaches 20 metres, and the camera switches between colour by day and infrared at night.
In the box: the iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT 4-channel recorder, which records up to 5MP Lite or 3K Lite at 12 frames per second with H.265 Pro+ compression, and takes one SATA drive of up to 10TB; 4 Hikvision DS-2CE71H0T-PIRLO cameras; 4 RG59 BNC video leads of 20m, each with a DC power tail; a 12V 3A power supply with a four-way splitter; a 1.5m HDMI cable and a 1TB hard drive, already fitted. You provide a monitor with an HDMI input and a place to mount each camera.
This is the plain choice for quiet indoor coverage. If you also need to watch a doorway outside, look at the audio and 4K turrets in the 4 camera kits.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.

In the box
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 11 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
