This is a complete Hikvision coax CCTV kit for a four-camera set-up: iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT, a 4-channel AcuSense DVR, with four Hikvision DS-2CE71H0T-PIRLO 5MP PIR fixed turret cameras and a 2TB hard drive already fitted. Recorder, cameras, cable and power arrive matched, so there is nothing else to choose.
The recorder is a 4-channel 5MP 1U H.265 AcuSense DVR with the 2TB drive installed. The cameras are Hikvision 5MP fixed turrets with PIR, the kind of camera people pick for a door, a side passage or the back of a house or shop.
In the box: the recorder with the 2TB drive installed, 4 x 20m RG59 shotgun leads with BNC video and DC power ends, a 12V 3A power supply with a 4-way splitter and a 1.5m High Speed HDMI cable for your monitor. You provide a screen, and a network connection if you want to watch remotely.
Mount each camera, run its lead back to the recorder, push the BNC end into a channel and the power end into the 4-way splitter, then connect the monitor with the HDMI cable. All four recorder channels are used, so a fifth camera would need a bigger recorder.
Everything runs over coax: each shotgun lead carries video and power to its camera, so there is no network cabling to pull. A 20m lead gives you room to reach cameras at the front, side and rear from a recorder kept in one spot.

Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 23 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.

First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
