4of 4 channels in use
The 4 cameras in the box use 4 of the 4 channels on the recorder. There is a camera on every channel already. For a bigger system, the next step is a recorder with more channels.

Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
The iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT recorder with a 1TB drive fitted, 4 cameras, 4 x 20m shotgun leads, a 12V 3A power supply with a 4-way splitter and a 1.5m HDMI cable.
Yes. A 1TB drive comes pre-installed.
Yes. The kit includes an HDMI cable but not a screen.
The recorder has 4 coax channels, all used by this kit, and can also connect up to 6 network cameras.
This is a complete Hikvision coax CCTV kit: iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT, a 4-channel AcuSense DVR with one HDD bay, with 4 5MP ColorVu audio turret cameras and a 1TB hard drive already fitted. Every camera has a lead and the recorder has its drive, so one order covers the whole job for a home or small unit.
It records up to 3K/5MP Lite at 12 frames a second with H.265 Pro+ compression, takes HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP inputs, and can also connect up to 6 network cameras. These are 5MP ColorVu turrets (up to 2560 × 1944) with a fixed 2.8mm lens. A white supplemental light gives full colour images at night, up to 25 metres, and each camera has a built-in microphone sending audio over the coax cable. They are IP67 rated.
In the box: the recorder with the 1TB drive installed, 4 x 20m RG59 shotgun leads with BNC video and DC power ends, a 12V 3A power supply with a 4-way splitter and a 1.5m High Speed HDMI cable for your monitor. You provide a screen, and a network connection if you want to watch remotely.
Fitting is mostly cable work: mount each camera, run its lead to the recorder, plug the BNC ends into channels 1 to 4 and the power ends into the splitter, then connect the monitor with the HDMI cable. The recorder has one drive bay, so more storage later means swapping in a larger drive.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.

In the box
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 11 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
