One 8MP bullet camera with DarkFighter low-light imaging, matched to a 4-channel Hikvision PoE recorder that has a larger 2TB drive fitted. It suits a single entrance or approach that is hard to light.
The camera is a Hikvision DS-2CD2085G1-I bullet, 8MP (3840 × 2160) with a fixed 2.8mm lens of about 102°. DarkFighter low-light technology is joined by infrared to 30 metres and 120dB true wide dynamic range for scenes with bright backlight. The metal housing is IP67 rated. Each runs from PoE (802.3af), so one network cable carries power and video.
The DS-7604NXI-K1/4P recorder has four PoE ports, accepts IP cameras up to 12MP and uses AcuSense to tell people and vehicles from other movement. It has a 4K HDMI output, one SATA bay for drives up to 10TB and a LAN port for remote viewing through Hik-Connect.
In the box: the recorder with a 2TB hard drive installed, one bullet camera, one 20m Cat6 patch cable and a 1.5m HDMI lead. You need a monitor and fixings. Mount each camera, run its cable to a PoE port, plug in the monitor and set the recording schedule.
With three PoE ports free, extra IP cameras can be added later on the same recorder. This is the 2TB version; a 1TB version of the same kit is also sold. More sets: CCTV kits.

Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 46 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.

First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
