A network (IP) camera.

This Hikvision DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL is an 8MP PoE camera in a turret housing. It is a good fit when you want to watch one open spot in more detail, such as a back door, a patio or the side of the house, and you already run network cabling to that part of the building.
The fixed 2.8mm F1.0 lens gives a 108.8° horizontal view, so one camera covers a wide patch of ground without a second unit. The 8MP sensor records at 3840 × 2160. At night the Smart Hybrid Light combines infrared and white light up to 30m, and ColorVu keeps the picture in colour in low light.
A built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio, and the camera can flash a strobe and sound a warning when it classifies a person or vehicle. A microSD card slot takes up to 512GB, so the camera can keep recording locally.
It is IP67 rated with a full metal housing, and it runs from PoE, so a single network cable carries power and video. Check that your recorder or PoE switch has a free port before you buy.
