HilookModel THC-T240-M-R
A DVR, the recorder for coax cameras
A coax (HD analogue) camera.
It sends TVI video: check your DVR takes it.
Check your recorder takes 4 MP cameras.
Not sure which recorder you have? A DVR has a row of round twist-on (BNC) camera sockets on the back; an NVR has none.
Starting a new system? See our coax camera kits.
The Hilook THC-T240-M-R is a 4MP Turbo HD turret camera that records at 2560 × 1440. That is enough detail to cover a shop front, an office entrance or a yard from a single mounting point, and it works over coaxial cable.
Its infrared is the longest in this group: EXIR 2.0 with Smart IR reaches 40m, which suits a long drive or the far side of a yard after dark. In daylight the picture is in colour, and in darkness it turns to black and white.
Build is a metal housing with IP66 weatherproofing, so it can be fixed outside and left there. It also works indoors.
You can switch the output between TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS to fit a compatible DVR. Power is 12V DC. The lens is fixed and comes as 2.8mm, 3.6mm or 6mm depending on the variant. The shorter lenses show a wider scene; the 6mm shows a narrower, more distant one, so pick by how far away the area is.
Your recorder needs a free coax input and must accept a 4MP signal, or the picture will be reduced. If you are unsure, look up the recorder's model and its maximum camera resolution before you place the order.
