PrysmianModel PX-CABLE-6242Y-1M-1.5MM-GREY
This is Prysmian 6242Y flat twin and earth cable in grey, 1.5mm², sold by the metre. It has two solid copper cores, brown and blue, with a bare copper earth conductor, all in a PVC sheath.
It is rated 300/500V and made to BS6004, with BASEC approval. It suits fixed wiring such as lighting circuits, switch drops and small power radials. It measures about 4.7mm by 8.6mm, with a maximum operating temperature of 70°C.
On a CCTV job it is mains-side cable, not camera cable, so it does not replace Cat6, coax or low-voltage wire. Mains wiring must be done by a competent person to the wiring regulations. Order the number of metres your run needs, with some spare.
