The grey SPL-2-8 has two input terminals and eight output terminals, so a single power source or signal line can be shared across a larger set of conductors.
Wiring is tool-free. Raise a lever, slide in the bare wire and push the lever shut to lock it. Nothing needs soldering, crimping or screwing, and the connector can be used again if the wiring changes.
The insulated housing is flame-retardant and the contacts are metal. It takes solid, stranded and flexible conductors, and it is sized to sit in a junction box.
