Dahua PFS4218-16ET-240 Managed Layer 2 16-Port PoE Switch, 16 × RJ45 10-100M, 240W, Hi-PoE

The PFS4218-16ET-240 is a Layer 2 managed switch made for surveillance work, so it can power a whole run of IP cameras from the cabinet. It offers PoE, PoE+ and Hi-PoE, with a 240W total budget shared across the ports.

Power control and live port consumption can be read through the web interface, and the switch can be found and upgraded with ConfigTool. The orange port supports Hi-PoE devices and works with the PFT1300 PoE extender.

Dahua quotes PoE transmission up to 250 metres, and the design includes lightning protection. Use it where a kit's recorder ports run out and cameras sit far from the rack.
