The UKVISION UK-SW-24-1000-P offers twenty-four gigabit PoE+ ports in a rack-mountable unit. The ports meet IEEE 802.3af/at and give up to 30W to each IP camera, wireless access point or other PoE device, and two gigabit RJ45 uplinks reach the recorder, router or core switch.

The PoE budget is 150W in total. With 24 ports that works out at about 6W each if all are in use, so it suits a block of small fixed cameras rather than heated or motorised ones. Add up the real consumption of your cameras before ordering.

Extend mode sends data up to 250 metres at reduced bandwidth, which helps for cameras far from the cabinet. VLAN mode gives port isolation to reduce broadcast traffic and steady the network. Auto-negotiation handles speed and cable type on every port.

The 11-inch chassis mounts in a network cabinet or rack. The switch is unmanaged: there is nothing to configure, which keeps set-up quick.

For fewer ports, the 16-port and 8-port switches of the same family are the smaller choice. The ports are gigabit PoE+, so each camera gets a fast link. Before ordering, list your cameras and their wattage, then compare the total with the 150W budget, leaving some spare capacity.
