Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
The IDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT recorder, 12 cameras, 12 20m RG59 BNC video and power leads, two power supplies, a 1.5m HDMI cable and the 6TB hard drive, already fitted.
You need a monitor or TV with an HDMI input to view the picture. The kit includes a 1.5m HDMI cable to connect it to the recorder.
The recorder has 16 channels and this kit uses 12, so 4 are free. Ask us which cameras and power you will need.
This Hikvision kit puts 12 5MP ColorVu audio fixed turret cameras on a 16-channel 5MP IDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT recorder, with a 6TB hard drive already installed. The cameras connect by coax: each has its own 20m RG59 BNC lead for video, with a DC power tail. Twelve cameras use twelve of the sixteen recorder inputs, leaving four free.
In the box: the IDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT recorder, which is a 1U H.265 AcuSense model; 12 cameras; 12 RG59 BNC video and power leads of 20m each; an 8-way 12V 5A power supply and a 4-way 12V 3A power supply with UK plugs; a 1.5m HDMI cable; and the 6TB drive, ready to record. You bring a monitor with an HDMI input and a place to mount each camera.
Before you order, note that this is a coax kit: the cameras and recorder work over the BNC leads, not network cable, and the leads are 20m long, so measure the distance from each camera to the recorder. Plan a mains socket and a shelf or cabinet for the recorder, and a way to fix each camera. The kit does not include a monitor.
It is a kit for a larger property such as a yard, a block of units or a farm where many positions need watching from one recorder. 4 of the recorder's 16 channels are left free. If you want to add cameras later, ask us what else you will need. More kits are in our camera kits.
Other sizes
The same recorder and cameras, packed for a different number of views.
10camerasRight for a big property or a yard
In the box
The 12 cameras in the box use 12 of the 16 channels on the recorder. So there are 4 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Around 23 days of footage
There is 6TB of storage in the box.
Pick a different hard drive
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 23 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
