The Hikvision DS-3E0505P-E is an unmanaged PoE switch with four Gigabit PoE ports and one Gigabit RJ45 uplink. It is the simple way to add PoE ports when your recorder has none free and you want to power a few more IP cameras.
Recorder: connect the uplink to your recorder's network port or to your network, then plug each new camera into a PoE port. There is nothing to configure.
Power: it supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at, with up to 30W on each port. The total PoE budget is 60W, so add up what your cameras draw before you fill all four ports.
Mounting spot: the fan-free metal case suits a desk, shelf or wall near the recorder. 6 kV surge protection on the PoE ports helps guard the switch on long cable runs.
