UKVISIONModel UK-SW-8-1000
Available
The UKVISION UK-SW-8-1000 is an eight port gigabit switch for CCTV and general network use. Every RJ45 port runs at 10, 100 or 1000Mbps and negotiates on its own, so recorders, routers, workstations and IP cameras can all share it.
It is a plain switch, not a PoE one. Cameras plugged in must be powered another way, through injectors or adapters. Where you want power and data in one cable, choose one of our PoE switches instead.
Each port detects straight and crossover cable automatically. The switch builds a table of connected devices and removes old entries, and uses store-and-forward switching, which checks each frame before passing it on. That gives steady behaviour with several video streams.
It is a compact desktop unit with a 5V DC power input, so it needs little room. There is nothing to configure and nothing to log into.
A typical use is a recorder, a laptop for viewing and a handful of IP cameras on a small site, all joined through one box. Remember that each camera needs its own power source. If the recorder has no spare network port, the switch also lets one cable from the recorder serve several devices at once.
