2of 16 channels in use
The 2 cameras in the box use 2 of the 16 channels on the recorder. So there are 14 channels left over if you want more cameras later.
Your choice
You can open the builder with this kit already loaded, then swap the cameras, pick a bigger drive or choose longer cables. It checks each change for you, so everything you end up with will work together.

Good to know
Order on a weekday before 4pm and your kit is sent that same day. Anything ordered after 4pm, or over the weekend, is sent the next working day.
Yes. It can come back to us for up to 14 days if you simply change your mind, or up to 30 days if it reaches you faulty.
The iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT recorder with the 6TB drive fitted, two 8MP 4K smart dual light fixed turret, 2.8mm lens cameras, 2 RG59 BNC video and power leads, 20m each, a 12V 3A power supply with a 4-way splitter and UK plug and a 1.5m HDMI cable.
Yes, you need a monitor or TV with an HDMI input to see the picture. The kit has a 1.5m HDMI cable to join it to the recorder.
The recorder has 16 channels and this kit uses 2, so 14 are free. Ask us which camera and power you need before you order.
This Hikvision kit pairs a 16-channel iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT recorder, a 8MP 1U H.265 AcuSense model, with two 8MP 4K smart dual light fixed turret, 2.8mm lens cameras. A 6TB hard drive is already installed in the recorder, so it can start recording once it is connected.
The cameras are wired to the recorder with RG59 BNC leads that carry both video and DC power. Each lead is 20m, so measure each route from camera to recorder first.
In the box: the iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT recorder with 6TB drive fitted; two 8MP 4K smart dual light fixed turret, 2.8mm lens cameras; 2 RG59 BNC video and power leads, 20m each; a 12V 3A power supply with a 4-way splitter and UK plug; and a 1.5m HDMI cable. You need a monitor or TV with an HDMI input, a mains socket near the recorder and a way to fix each camera in place.
It suits two key spots, such as the front and back of a house. The recorder has 16 channels and this kit uses 2, so 14 more camera inputs are free for later. Ask us before you add one, so you get the right camera and power. This is a coax kit: the cameras and recorder work over BNC leads, not network cable, and the kit does not include a monitor. More kits are in CCTV Kits and Turbo HD Kits.

Adding cameras later? First make sure the recorder handles their resolution and has enough recording bandwidth, and that a power or PoE port is free for each one.
Around 69 days of footage
There is 6TB of storage in the box.
Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 69 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.
Coax (HD analogue) system
Plugs into the coax cable already in your walls.
First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
