This kit pairs the Hikvision DS-7604NXI-K1/4P, a 4-channel PoE AcuSense NVR, with four 8MP PoE turret cameras. The recorder has four PoE ports, so the cameras plug straight into it and are powered by the same cable, with no extra power supply.
Each UK-CI-4K-G1 camera records 3840 × 2160 and has a fixed 2.8mm lens with a 113° view, hybrid infrared and white light up to 30m, a microphone and speaker, and a microSD slot. Human and vehicle detection helps cut false alerts, and the housing is IP67 rated.
In the box: the NVR with a 1TB hard drive fitted, four 20m Cat6 patch cables and a 1.5m HDMI cable. The NVR has a single SATA bay for drives up to 10TB, a LAN port for remote access through Hik-Connect, and 4K HDMI output.
A tidy way to start an IP system with a single order. The four PoE ports are all used by the cameras, so a further camera needs a PoE switch. Supply a monitor and your router connection.
Fitting day is mostly cable work. Mount each camera, run a Cat6 lead back to one of the four PoE ports, then connect the monitor with the HDMI cable and the LAN port to your router. Set the date and a password on the recorder before you leave. Each lead is 20m, so measure the longest run first.

Recording around the clock in H.265, that holds roughly 5 days of footage. Our sum allows 1 Mbps for each camera of 2MP or less, 2 Mbps for each one above that up to 5MP, and 4 Mbps for each one sharper than 5MP, added together when the cameras are not all the same model. Your own settings, how busy each view is and how much of the drive is usable all change the true number. With motion-only recording, it comes down to how often something moves in view.

First, look over the box list: it names the power supplies, cables and mounting parts included. Then plan where each camera goes and how long each cable needs to be, because knowing how many cameras you have does not tell you what they will cover. At every spot, check what the lens can see, the lighting, and how exposed the camera will be to the weather.
